Collin Stoddard, a gifted leader, musician, team builder and worship leader, will be joining Wooddale on March 1, 2015. He and his wife, Jenna, and their family are in the process of moving from Colorado to Minnesota. Please pray for their time of transition as they find a home in Minnesota.
Gary Thacher has volunteered in some capacity at Wooddale since 1982. He currently volunteers at the Edina campus, as a co-leader in the café, a small group leader and a member of the campus leadership team. The most distinctive aspect of our interview was how readily he deflected praise or credit for serving. He explained, “I don’t seek reward or outward recognition.
What’s your worst fear? Fear disproportionally sways our perspective about God’s character. Remember, God is always compassionate and sovereign, anticipating every circumstance. When Jesus spoke about fear, he emphasized God’s mercy (Matthew 6, Luke 12, John 14).
In life, there are leaders and there are followers (so the saying goes). This saying overlooks a very important role – that of the equipper. If it weren’t for equippers, those who would be leaders would not be adequately prepared to lead.
Senior adults are encouraged to invite their friends to join them for an afternoon at the theater. On Thursday, February 12, Wooddale senior adults will travel to the Plymouth Playhouse to enjoy the musical stage production Pop Up Musical.
