A neighbor family invited six-year-old Jessica to church one Wednesday night. Jessica played games and engaged in small group time. Then came the Bible story. Jessica, her eyes riveted on the storyteller, leaned forward, listening to a story she had never heard before – the story of Jesus. Soon Jessica, a little girl from an atheist family, gave her life to Jesus.
Apprentices in the Middle Ages toiled long hours learning a trade under a master craftsman for up to seven years. Participants in the Apprenticeship Program at Wooddale have a less arduous, yet much more spiritually fulfilling, experience.
Today, seasonal changes impact our harvests. What if food supplies dwindle and prices soar? In what do we place our faith? Is our faith in our food supply, in money to purchase food, or in God who provides everything (John 6:27, Matthew 6:33)? Consider what faith is and how to cultivate a strong faith.

In the Twin Cities, we all are conditioned to say “purple trucks” equal Bachman’s Floral, Gift and Garden Centers, one of the largest traditional floral and nursery operations in the world! Bachman’s has been in business since 1885 with the opening of its first store on the Lyndale site in the 1920s.
