Baro Tutoring

What is Baro Tutoring?

If meeting, befriending and helping students and their parents is your passion, you have the qualities we need in our tutoring program at the Eden Prairie Library. Our group of friendly and dedicated tutors represent many life stages, from middle school students to working engineers to retirees from many different professions. Ongoing support, information and resources are available to tutors who feel they need some guidance/training.

Wooddaler Jenny Buckland has been volunteering with Baro for almost two years. Her passion for connecting with the Somali immigrants here in Minnesota drives her to share in the truth, love and rewarding relationships that have grown from her participation in this cross-cultural ministry.

Baro

Thousands of Somali refugees have traveled over 8,000 miles to Minnesota and endured traumatic circumstances. Come use your gifts in our program called Baro to serve the local refugee community while developing lasting relationships.
