Book Clubs

Wooddale Book Clubs offer a supportive, loving Christ centered community where readers can connect and develop a Christian perspective. Read to be delighted in the written word and in God’s creative process. Learn how to grow in recognition of God’s truth. Come share ideas and insight that will help you grow in your union with Jesus Christ.

Edina Campus - Readers Group
Readers, you won’t want to miss this new group of books. Good books will be selected from a variety of genres including children’s books. Come read with us and share your insights on the characters, plot and storylines. Look to build new friendships as we discuss each book. This year our choices will point out the hope we have as stated in Deuteronomy 31:6. Come join us for one or two books or the entire year! Everyone is welcome.

Hand Work Group - Edina Campus

Want to fellowship while you meet new friends and work on your crafts? Bring your favorite knitting/sewing/cross stitch/crocheting project, scrapbook pages, beads and wire for jewelry-making, paints and canvas, drawing pad and pencils/charcoal, pen and paper for your poetry or whatever tools your special hobby requires. Together, we will have a great time while we work alongside each other creating our
individual projects.

Working Women

Working women face many similar challenges. Rather than going it alone, check out Around the Watercooler events put on by Wooddale Women’s Ministries. Around the Watercooler provides a chance for working women to network and hear from experts from a variety of fields who will share practical teachings. Enjoy dessert and a beverage from the coffee bar while chatting with other women who may experience situations like yours.

Wooddale Women Worldwide

Join a group of women to learn what God is doing through Wooddale-supported global partners. Gather with us to pray, enjoy fellowship and encourage our missionary women.

There are several Women's International Events through the year, a Near and Far Luncheon in the fall, Missions trip opportunities, and many other ways to get involved and encourage and prayer for women all around the world.
 

Widows’ Group

Widows' Study and Support Group
We will be studying the book "From One Widow to Another" by Miriam Neff.  The evening group meets Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm at Wooddale Church Eden Prairie Campus, Room 280 through April 30th.  All are welcome!  Call Janet for more information at 763.557.4961 evenings, or email her at jecarlyle@msn.com.

Quilting

Each month, the quilters generally meet in Room 275 at the Eden Prairie Campus on the 2nd Thursday & Friday (9 a.m. - 10 p.m.) & on Saturday (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) We also meet on the 4th Thursday & Friday (9 a.m. - 10 p.m.) You can come any time & stay as long as you wish! Bring your basic sewing supplies & your sewing machine (if you are able). You can work on a project of your choice or on a missions project. Some quilting instruction is available. We enjoy a pot luck lunch on Thursdays. This is a very friendly and informal group!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS Eden Prairie Campus
MOPS was developed to nurture and encourage mothers of preschoolers (infants to kindergartners) while providing a safe place for a mom to be herself as she grows as a wife, mother and friend and experiences God’s love. Connect with other moms while gaining knowledge and sharing experiences on subjects relating to womanhood, marriage, child rearing and more – each from a biblical perspective. A typical MOPS meeting includes an informal time of treats and conversation, followed by a speaker and small group discussion time. Moms enjoy honest interactions, deepening friendships and spiritual enrichment. Join us!

MOMSNext (Mothers of Elementary Students)

MOMSNext is for moms with school age children wanting to connect with other moms in the same stage of life. Enjoy fellowship, learn, encourage and be supported by moms just like you. Discussion topics range from character development, healthy habits, bullying, how to raise grateful children, ideas for family activities and more.

Moms of Teens

Moms of Teens welcome women who are parenting adolescents, from “tweens” to young adults. Our goal is to encourage, connect and empower moms with Christ’sabundant love and wisdom as we raise the next generation of Christian leaders. Meetings include a variety of topics, guest speakers, table discussions, large group interactions and prayer time.

InTouch (Single Moms)

On Wednesday nights, vibrant women gather to support each other and share their lives as part of Wooddale’s InTouch Single Moms Group. Doing the job of two parents, these women have assumed the responsibility for their children growing up in a Christian home. Their journeys are challenging, but their support for one another is amazing. Women come to share their struggles, receive advice and grow in their faith. Many simply come to be an encourager to others. In need of a fresh outlook on your life? Check out InTouch!
