When illness and hospital stays become a part of our lives, it helps to have a friend visit and pray with us. If you will be in the hospital please contact katie.orvis@wooddale.org or 952-656-1453 and let us know so we can visit you.

Frank Doten

Frank served in Pastoral Church ministries for more than forty years. Additionally he served the Lord for two years in the Philippines in a teaching role, and as Pastor of Missionary Care for the Baptist General Conference for eight years. Frank and his wife Ginny live in Falcon Heights and continue to keep in touch with many missionaries and friends around the world. They have sixteen grandchildren.

Ken Lundquist

Ken grew up in the church and made a public confession to accept Christ as a young child. He has been an active member in evangelical churches since age seven and married into the Wooddale family. He is a graduate from Bethel Seminary and felt called to a ministry working as a Clinical Social Worker addressing the painful mental health needs of Veterans. He has a special compassion for people who are dealing with challenging situations. He also leads Uplifters, a Wooddale support group for people facing divorce or loss of relationship, since 1998. He and his wife, Sally, have two children and two grandchildren.

Glenn Ogren

Glenn was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Savior as a young boy. While a student at Bethel Seminary he was youth pastor in Circle Pines, MN. When he graduated he started a church in Milbank, SD. Glenn and his wife Mavis served as missionaries to Brazil for 8 years then served as associate secretary of the Board of World Missions. He then served a church start in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates. In the Twin Cities he served as an associate pastor at Salem Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church. He has taken short-term mission trips to Uganda, Belize, Indonesia and Brazil. Glenn and Mavis have four children and ten grandchildren.

Dean Thimsen

Dean received Jesus Christ as his Savior during early childhood while living in the Hopkins area. Following WWII, he attended Northwestern Schools in the Twin Cities. This is where he and Ginny met and felt the Lord’s leading to minister in Alaska. There they served with Arctic Missions Inc. Their ministry took on several roles—first as village missionaries among Native Americans and Eskimos and later as a mission pilot and field director. Dean also ministered in several Anchorage churches on an interim basis. After 21 years, they returned to Minnesota and ended up at Wooddale Church. God has blessed Dean and Ginny with five children, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Palmer Yngsdal

Palmer served in senior pastoral ministries for 21 years. He then joined the staff at The Greater Minnesota Association of Evangelicals (GMAE), serving for 23 years (the last 15 as president and CEO.) He also served in the US Air Force for almost 4 years during the Korean War. He and his wife, Cathy, live in St. Paul. They have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. They have traveled extensively, including 2 trips to South Africa in the past 3 years, where they visited their son, David, and his family who serve with the Southern Baptist Mission.
