The Seder Meal is a powerful, symbolic experience that recounts God’s miraculous deliverance of His people from slavery in Egypt, as commanded in Scripture (Exodus 12-13). It is a sacred tradition observed by the Jewish people, and it holds profound significance for Christians as well.
On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gathered with His disciples to share the Passover meal, saying, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you” (Luke 22:15 NIV). It was in this moment that He revealed Himself as the ultimate Passover Lamb, instituting the sacrament of communion and fulfilling God’s promise of redemption.
For Christians, participating in a Seder meal is more than a historical or cultural experience—it is a powerful way to deepen our faith, understanding and gratitude for God’s faithfulness. Every element on the Seder table tells a story of deliverance, sacrifice, and hope, pointing us to Jesus as our Redeemer. Through storytelling, prayers, tasting symbolic foods and worship, we step into the unfolding narrative of God’s salvation plan from Exodus to the cross.
Join us as we journey through this ancient tradition, led by modern-day Psalmist Marty Goetz, and experience the richness of God’s redemptive love in a tangible, unforgettable way.
