All children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We’re here to pray for your children, engage with them, and provide a fun place to meet Jesus on their level!
ROOTS (Birth – Age 2)
We believe that kids of any age can experience God’s love and joy. In Roots, we make sure that each child is engaged, read to, and prayed for. Please bring a labeled sippy, pacifier (if applicable), & diaper so we can provide the most comforting environment for your child.
SPROUTS (Age 2 1/2 – PreK)
We believe an active approach is best with preschool children. In Sprouts, there’s a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every gathering! Be on the lookout for fun crafts and big games – all while learning age-appropriate stories from the Bible!
TREEHOUSE (K – Grade 4)
In Treehouse, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really exciting, and good leaders always care. Our Large Group Gathering is creative and fun! In Small Groups, we want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that last.
On Sundays, all classes align with service times; on Saturday evening, programming is available for kids Birth – Age 5.
Once you arrive, you will be able to register your child and get a tour of the facility. At the VIP Check-In for First Time Guests, we will meet your family, provide you with a guardian security sticker, and one of our volunteers will lead you & your child to their age-appropriate environment.
During the Worship Service, parents of Nursery-aged children receive a silent pager in the event we need to contact you during the Worship Service for any reason; parents of older children will be notified via text message.
After the Worship Service, return to your child’s room and show your security tag for them to be released to you.
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?”
My child comes home Sundays singing and dancing to the songs she has learned during the children’s programming hour. She asks me multiple times during the week if it’s a church day! I love that she is learning to love God and others and is surrounded by so many people care for her.
Games, prizes, friends and fun are just a few words that describe Wooddale’s Wednesday night program called W.O.W. This year’s theme is Faith Over Feelings. Kids will learn lessons from the Bible teaching them how to effectively manage and deal with the many emotions we feel in life. Each week will bring new opportunities to grow and your kids will earn points that they can cash in twice a year at our W.O.W. store. Don’t miss a single week of fun! Sign up today.
These high-energy Wednesday nights feature large group storytelling, small group activities, music and games that inspire and encourage children to grow in their faith while building friendships with each other and their group leaders.
W.O.W. runs September through May and is available for kids Age 3 – Grade 4. Nursery programming is available for Birth – Age 3 for parents who remain in the building either attending class or volunteering.
Registration is now open for this year’s VBS! Click here to learn more.
Our ministry team is here to engage with your child, and teach them truths about God. To keep you informed, we encourage all families to have at least one parent volunteer in Kids Ministry at least one service time per month. To schedule your First Serve, contact the Children’s Ministry staff at the campus you attend or fill out the volunteer form here. We have the opportunity to change lives in just a few hours per week – we look forward to serving with you! Volunteer!
Wooddale Church offers Parent/Child Dedication ceremony for infants and young children. This is a special worship service of public and personal commitment when the parents promise to raise their child in the training and instruction of the Lord. An orientation meeting is typically held the Sunday before the dedication service to answer parents’ questions. Register by calling the Children’s Ministries Office at 952.656.1078.
Twice a year, Wooddale provides an opportunity for families to learn more about baptism and communion with their children. Check our calendar for event details.
Children in K – Grade 6 are invited to join the Sounds of Praise (SOP) children’s choir. SOP performs a Christmas and spring musical each year as well as community performances. Children experience God through worship and by ministering to others as they sing.
Our goal is to pair children with unique needs with a trained volunteer during Woods Kids programs. The Trail Buddies volunteer will work with their assigned child to provide extra help when needed. Please contact Children’s Ministries at 952.656.1076 if you have a child with special needs or if you would like to volunteer as a Trail Buddy.
