We value Kingdom-building and investing generously in ministries HERE, NEAR and FAR. God has given us an incredible new opportunity to further His Kingdom—NEAR. Starting this fall, we will be launching a new Wooddale campus, called the “The Avenue,” on the University of Minnesota’s East Bank. This will replace what was formerly known as our West Bank campus.

The Avenue campus will include an additional 7 Corners Coffee location, but more importantly, provide a much larger space where hundreds of college students will be able to worship Jesus together, be discipled and live out their faith.

We are holding vision sessions to help share our plans, how you can be praying for this new campus and for some, to consider whether God is calling you to join us downtown.

WHY “THE AVENUE”

Both 7 Corners Coffee locations—East and West Bank—on the University of Minnesota campus reside on Washington Avenue, so it is fitting to call the new campus The Avenue. However, the meaning goes much deeper. An avenue is a place of intersection, a crossroad where decisions are made and people are met. At the Avenue, people will have the opportunity to follow The Way, The Truth and The Life—Jesus.

Jon Odom

The Avenue campus pastor

Jon is a husband, father and follower of Christ. He’s passionate about discipleship and living life on mission. Jon also teaches as an adjunct faculty member in the Physician Assistant program at Bethel University and serves as vice president of Men of the Kingdom, a non-profit organization that exists to empower and equip the next generation of moral leaders in the Church.

Jon is excited to reach college students, helping them have a safe space to explore their faith, learn about Jesus and realize just how much He loves them.
