40 Days of Prayer
40 Days of Prayer
The following graphic is a tool to help you pray for one hour during our 40 Days of Prayer.
Over the next 7 years, we will equip campus pastors and launch 4 more campuses. We can more effectively minister the Gospel when we geographically meet people where they are. Multi-sites allow us to reach densely populated areas of our 15-minute radius that need more churches.
What’s Going On with Multi-Site?
One of Wooddale’s key near strategies for Vision ’22 is to create additional campus locations around the Twin Cities. This strategy allows us to bring Wooddale Church to a part of the Twin Cities that would otherwise not make the drive to our other campuses. Most people who are connected at Wooddale Church live within 15 to 20 minutes of the Eden Prairie, Edina or Loring Park campuses. By strategically placing additional campuses around the Twin Cities it allows Wooddale Church to be accessible to more people.
So where are we looking for the next site? We started by searching potential properties within a 20-minute drive-time of the Eden Prairie campus and have recently narrowed this search to a few key locations, including both suburban and urban locations for Wooddale’s next site.
How can I help? Please be in prayer for our multi-site strategy and for the future location of our 4th campus. If you’d like to see how a multi-site campus functions, please visit the Edina campus or Loring Park campus on a Sunday.
Wooddale Asia (Far)
Develop 400 leaders who each find 15 church planters allowing us to start 4,000 churches which have 40-60,000 new believers. There are over 330 million people in Asia, and less than 1 percent are believers. We want to obey Jesus’ command to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
What were the Vision ’22 Special Membership Meeting vote results?
The motion passed on October 26th, 2015! Thank you to everyone who participated in our Special Membership Meeting vote.
What is involved in the Capital Campaign?
In order to make Vision ’22 a success here (our campuses), near (other multi-site locations), and far (Wooddale Asia), we have a capital campaign to raise support for the following:
HERE – Preparing the house at the Eden Prairie Campus – Priorities
- Develop designated area for Junior High for high activity.
- Develop designated area for Senior High for gathering and engagement.
- Develop children’s area (Ages 2-1/2 through grade 4) that is welcoming, easily located, and convenient for registration of new young families.
- Enlarge the Wooddale café and enhance food service, traffic flow, efficiency and attractiveness.
- Provide for better multi-generational gathering and engagement.
NEAR – Multi-Site
- Create new campuses around the Twin Cities to reach new communities.
FAR – Wooddale Asia
- Train leaders and equip believers to plant 4,000 churches reaching 40,000 – 60,000 new believers.
What is happening to the courtyard?
- The courtyard will not be impacted in this phase of Vision ’22.
Will adult classes now need to meet in the lower level?
- Adults will have four upper level classrooms available all three hours on Sunday. Three additional classrooms are available in the lower level.
Will programming be halted during construction?
- No. There will need to be temporary relocation of some ministries, but work will be phased to avoid cessation of any programming during construction.
Will the nursery move?
- No. The nursery is secure and operating well in its current location.
What forums were held for congregational input?
- More than 10 forums were held to provide opportunities for presentation, dialog, and feedback for Vision ’22 Here, Near, and Far starting in June 2015.

Loring Park Campus @ Music Box Theatre
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
– Romans 10:14-15
Our vision is to impart the hope of the Gospel to 700,000 people here, near and far over the next 7 years, and to provide a clear pathway toward spiritual maturity.
A major strategy to accomplish our near vision is to launch five additional campus locations around the Twin Cities. These campus locations, like what we are seeing at our second campus in Edina, will be able to make a life-changing impact for people who live in those communities — in ways we couldn’t accomplish with any single campus. Each time we open up a new site, it allows us to localize our ministry by partnering with those of you who already live in those communities! Click here to learn more about being a multi-site church.
Over the course of a year, we searched for and prayed over several locations. It became clear that God had turned our focus towards Minneapolis, the largest and most populous city in Minnesota, and the city we love! Now that was a God-sized opportunity!
With God leading the way, we successfully launched Wooddale Loring Park @ Music Box Theatre in March of 2016!
Meet the Campus Pastor
On December 5, with excitement we announced Wooddale’s third multi-site campus in Loring Park @ The Music Box Theatre. There has been incredible enthusiasm building around the spring launch of the campus and we are thrilled to announce our Loring Park Campus Pastor, Trent Palmberg and his wife Lindsey!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you do church in a theatre?
Yes! In fact, the Music Box Theatre is a great location to hold services; the seats are comfortable, sight-lines are great, the acoustics of the room work well for both speaking and music, the lobby area serves as a wonderful gathering space, and it is an easy location to find! Many churches around the country are doing church services inside theaters, and we at Wooddale have been talking with and learning from these churches to make this site a success.
What services will be offered at this site?
This site is fully Wooddale Church. We will offer weekend services, including children’s ministry, and various outreach opportunities using the theatre. This site will also offer LifeGroups that will meet in homes, coffee shops, and even at the theatre itself. Wooddale staff serving this campus location will office out of the theatre, and the space will be made available to serve the local community.
Where will the congregation come from?
We have a number of Wooddale Church members and attenders who live close to or in Loring Park. Others Wooddalers who are called to serve at this campus are welcome and encouraged to attend. We expect to grow the campus with those who live close to this location so community outreach and engagement will be a key focus for the Loring Park Campus.
Will we be using the facility throughout the week?
Yes! We will occupy the facility all week, every week. In addition to our weekend services, we anticipate making use of the facility to host concerts, plays, show movies, hold leadership talks for the professional community as well as hold community events such as meetings and town-halls. We are also looking into ways we can open up the space to be a hub for service projects and minister to those in need in this community. This is now our home and community. Therefore, we want to be a contributing member of the community in Loring Park and surrounding areas and host God-honoring events that will be a blessing to the neighborhood.
What about parking?
There is ample parking around the theatre and includes metered, ramp and on street parking. A metered lot is located on 15th Street and Nicollet Ave (1 block from the theatre) and the Hyatt Ramp is located two blocks north of the theatre. A bus stop is also located directly in front of the Music Box Theatre.
