Randy and I were in California most of last year (2016) and 2 months of this year due to health issues with my sister and mother. Both my sister and mother passed away this year. While we were there we connected with Friends Church Orange for which we were extremely grateful. The pastor (Jay) was gracious enough to do the services for both my sister and mother.
Last night we found out that Pastor Jay has had some health issues recently. He has been diagnosed with a seizure disorder which will require brain surgery. The tumor is benign so is good news. He is scheduled for surgery about mid August.
Please pray for Pastor Jay, Friends Church Orange, his wife and 2 1/2 year old daughter as he goes through the surgery and recovery. Pastor Jay is a vibrant speaker and pastor and is only about 36 years old. Pastor Jay was such an encouragement to Randy and I, and want to now give him and his family the same for his needs.
Friends Church Orange in the City of Orange is a church plant of Friends Church in Yorba Linda and is almost 4 years old. Last year they moved into a building for their services that used to be a citrus packing house. They are currently involved in a remodeling project in order to accommodate space for children. They are also making an impact on the City of Orange, California.

Please pray for my friend Ali's son Finn. He is 6 months old and just had a heart transplant at the Mayo in Rochester. Finn is a fighter and he's doing okay but it seems every obstacle he could run into he has which puts a lot of strain on his little body and his parents. Pray that God gives his body complete healing, that he continues to get better each and every day. Also pray for Mom, Dad and big brother as their day-to-day schedule are crazy and have dramatically changed. Pray God gives them peace and comfort during all of this and that all goes well so that Finn is home by Thanksgiving!
