An ordained pastor since 2013, Ben earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kindergarten-12th Grade Music Education: Vocal Performance (with a Biblical Studies minor) from North Central University. He occasionally leads worship in Wooddale’s modern service or sings a featured solo in the traditional service. He also plays the piano and is an experienced musical theater director.
Before coming to Wooddale, Ben served as the worship and creative arts pastor at Zion Lutheran Church and content developer and production manager at Hosanna Church.
He and his wife, Molly, have two children, Jack and Beatrice. In addition to enjoying family time, Ben loves discussing theology and philosophy and having fun playing tabletop role-playing games. He is passionate about learning, storytelling and leadership.
His life verse is 1 Corinthians 15:41: The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
