Kathy Girthofer

Kathy says her work is a harmony of passion and purpose — a dance in God’s sweet spot, a tangible realization of her dreams. Fueled by resilience, she passionately supports women and families in crisis, drawing from her authentic experiences.

Kathy embraced Christ later in life and her journey was transformed. She served on a church staff in Pennsylvania and immersed herself in Christ-centered care coursework through the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), infusing spirituality into her pursuits. With a relational mercy heart, a background in sociology, a touch of psychology and counseling, coupled with social work efforts and management expertise, Kathy lends hope to others while bridging the contrast between a life without Christ and the transformative power of faith. She absolutely loves being a part of the Family Resource Initiative team and impacting lives in the Twin Cities.

Kathy is devoted to her family and her man, Florian. Their two adult children live in Philadelphia and Washington D.C., respectively. She enjoys listening to people’s stories, music, singing, laughing, cooking, and a great sunset. Above all, Kathy loves witnessing God in His moments for others.
