Melissa Assels joined the Wooddale staff as the Children’s Ministry program director at the Edina campus in 2023. A Wooddale member since 2015, Melissa was baptized at the church in 2022. The North Dakota native earned degrees in early childhood, elementary education and special education from Minot State University and brings 16 years of teaching experience to her role at Wooddale. She is most excited about sharing the love and hope of Jesus with children and families.
During the summer, you will likely find Melissa near a lake or traveling to beach destinations. But once football season starts, she’ll be cheering on her beloved Minnesota Vikings.
