I have been thinking about some things more lately.
Late last week I had an over night sleep study at a local hospital. The tech who affixed all the electrodes to my body and I talked for about an hour. He is from the same Tigray region in Ethiopia where I served in ministry many years ago. I shared with him my testimony and he responded, "God is amazing." He also shared that he works two full-time overnight positions because "he doesn't have much of a life." I remember what it was like to fill my time with work out of loneliness, lack of hope and purpose. I appreciate prayers that he would find hope, life, and purpose in Jesus. I gave him a book about Jesus before I went to my room and went to bed that night.
I am soon sharing a message at a quarterly leadership meeting at the ministry where I work. Last week I was listening to Praise FM in the morning while thinking about some things that were weighing on me personally. The scripture and songs shared spoke directly to my thoughts. As I continued to listen and think about my message centered on 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, I asked Jesus in the moment if he would speak to me through Praise Live again. After a song finished, the announcer read 1 Thessalonians 5:12-18. I was so joyful.
I appreciate prayers that he would guide me as I think through and organize my thoughts and that he would work through me to share what he has for the organization.

Pray for my husband Glen, he has A- fib and a clot in his left atrium and it's shedding clots. One clot is on his optic. He's getting hyperbaric treatments to try to restore his vision.

Got a call at 8am this morning, my uncle Russ passed away last night. He is in heaven, has a new body and is no longer in pain.

My Uncle Russ is back on hospice fighting cancer. It is not looking good, he has stopped eating for a week and has stopped taking liquids for the last two days. He is in his early 60's and his youngest just graduated from high school. He is a believer. Pray for his wife and their four kids as well as my mom and her siblings as they will be saying goodbye to their brother.
Also keep me in prayer, Monday the 14th I was in the ER all day. Learned that I have peptic ulcer disease (stomach ulcer). Need to make diet changes and other changes to help this heal and prevent. Pray for God's guidance, direction and clarity in the changes. I also work full time and have been working with all things that are going on with family health issues and trying to stay calm and get things done.

Hello. My wife disciples on Wednesday evenings and then teaches an online class on Thursday evenings.
It seems like Jesus might have me spend these evenings at local bars in Eden Prairie and get to know people. I am at Applebees tonight. I appreciate prayers that he would work through me to draw people to himself.

Friend of ours(Liz) had a third miscarriage at 16wks. She and husband have been doing IVF and this was the most successful attempt at having a baby and made it to 16wks before the miscarriage. They are not believers and are suffering through the grief right now.

Please pray for my cousin Jeanne who is having a double mastectomy due to breast cancer on Friday morning at 7AM in Louisiana. She asks that people pray that the medical team is able to remove all of the cancerous cells so that she will not have to undergo radiation treatment.

Pray, update. My brother has made some bad choices in life that are affecting his marriage and son. He does know God but has walked away and satan is finding was to attack him by saying because of the hurt he has caused he does not deserve to be loved and the suicide risk is there. My parents did go up and found a church to come along side and help until counseling is able to be found. Keep praying for his family and that God will be the source for his life and trust will be rebuilt with his wife and son.
My parents had to come back home because of an appointment with a specialist for my dads auto-immune disorder that is affecting his health and life.

Hello. The last few years my wife and I have had a deeper love for our neighbors. We've never talked with them much other than a few seconds at a time in passing.
During COVID one of our neighbors often complained to us over the fence about how loud our air conditioner was. In passing she briefly mentioned that she lost her job. We coordinated with the property management company to pay her dues and then wrote her a letter saying that we love Jesus and decided to pay her association dues. Shortly there after she stopped by our home and in tears thanked us.
Recently another neighbor had shoulder surgery. We were able to help with a couple things. She invited us along with some other neighbors for pizza on her patio this weekend. She shared with folks about how we gave her Christmas cookies and invited her to church last winter. Though she didn't join us, she seemed touched and thankful by our invite. Then our other neighbor put her hand over her heart and shared how we arranged to pay her association dues when she was laid off during COVID.
When we reached out in faith and love during these times, apart of me wondered if they would revile because of Jesus. It actually seemed to be quite the opposite. We had such nice time together. Our neighbor wants to have pizza together again sometime.
I appreciate prayers that Jesus would continue to work through us to meet their needs and the needs of others, that they would see his kindness and love through us and that we might draw others to himself through us.
