Brian Doten serves as the Family and Next Gen Pastor, dedicated to helping families, children and teenagers follow Jesus and flourish in life. He has a passion for teaching the Bible, working with teams and coaching and developing both staff and volunteers to reach their full potential.
Brian’s journey with Wooddale is long and personal. After earning his B.A. and M.Div. from Bethel University, he spent 24 years at Wooddale as the Senior High Pastor and Discipleship Pastor. He then served for 21 years as the Senior Pastor of Northwood Church in Maple Grove, a church planted by Wooddale.
Brian and his wife, Kris, have been married for more than 40 years. They met, married and raised their three children at Wooddale. He enjoys landscaping, trying good restaurants and spending time with his two grandsons. A runner, he has completed three marathons and two half-marathons.
Brian finds inspiration in Psalm 16:11, which speaks of the joy and direction found in God’s presence: “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
