Jess Krueger

Jess Krueger serves as the Director of Volunteer Engagement, helping people use their God-given gifts to serve Him while experiencing life change and spiritual growth. She is passionate about connecting relationally with others, showing care and empathy and organizing systems and processes to support volunteers.

Jess holds an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Resources from Illinois State University, a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Erikson Institute and a Doctor of Ministry in Next Generation Ministry from Liberty University.

Before joining the team, Jess spent nine years in volunteer management at Willow Creek Community Church, following earlier careers as a senior-care nurse and a preschool teacher. Her diverse experience fuels her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

When she’s not at church, Jess loves spending time with her husband, Mike, and their three children. They enjoy camping, hiking and most things outdoors. As a water lover, she finds her best time with God is spent sitting on the banks of a lake or stream.

Jess finds strength and peace in scripture, including Philippians 4:6, which encourages prayer over anxiety, and Psalm 139:14, a reminder that she is “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
