Jessica Sturgeon

Jessica Sturgeon serves as the Executive Director of Wooddale Academy, bringing a deep passion for building relationships with families, staff and children. She is dedicated to helping educators grow professionally and implementing quality curriculum with integrated Biblical application for all ages.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood from Crown College and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia Portland, and she is a licensed teacher for birth through third grade.

Jessica served as a missionary in Ethiopia for five years. She holds certifications as an RBPD specialist, Infant Family Specialist and Endorsed Reflective Supervisor through MACMH. Her expertise includes coaching educators and leaders, developing strategies for classroom management and challenging behaviors and coming alongside families to navigate tough topics and questions.

Jessica enjoys thrift shopping for a good bargain, cooking, traveling and music. She is committed to helping build a supportive environment where educators and families can partner together through life’s challenges.

When she is not at the Academy, Jessica loves spending quality time at home with her husband and their three children. Her favorite scripture is John 8:12, because it reminds her that there is no need to fear darkness or feel alone. She believes that because Jesus is the light, all she has to do is follow Him.
