Zach Lemmens became the modern worship director at Wooddale Church in May 2024. He came to Wooddale after serving on worship teams at Berean Baptist Church and Eagan Hills Church. He started as a part-time assistant worship leader at Berean before taking on the role of creative arts assistant associate, a full-time position in which he led worship in different capacities and created content. He then followed a calling to Eagan Hills, where he was the church’s worship pastor. Zach returned to Berean to become its communications director in 2023.
A vocalist for as long as he can remember, in addition to leading worship in multiple capacities for more than two decades, Zach is also a singer for a cover band that plays weddings and events, giving him opportunities to play different styles of music and meet people from many backgrounds.
Zach and his wife, Julia, have three boys. The family enjoys spending time with extended family hiking, biking and “living it up at the cabin up north.”
His favorite Scripture is Ephesians 2. He said if pressed for specific verses, he would choose Ephesians 2:4-7: But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
