Over the past 10 years, God has put men in search of Him before me, that I may bring them to know Christ and help build a relationship with Him. I’ve had the opportunity to work with men in their teens through men in their 60s, men struggling with issues in college to men who are powerful CEOs. Some simply want to know Jesus better, while others desire to better understand what God says in the Bible. Some men are fighting demons that will not release them from debilitating addictions. The common thread: they want to know if what they heard is really true. “Is there a God Who will forgive me for my sins and love me unconditionally? And if there is, what do I have to do to find Him and be forgiven?”
My experience has been humbling and rewarding. Psalm 139 tells us that God knows everything, including what we will do before we do it.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. -Psalm 139:6
God has equipped me to walk with people troubled by things unfamiliar to me. If we ask God with a sincere heart to give us the tools to be His disciple, it’s amazing how the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom and leads us in His ordinances. The reward is we get one step closer to winning the race, the ultimate prize, being with Jesus. -Lou
