Options for Virtual LifeGroup Meetings

The Coronavirus has changed the way that we need to do LifeGroups for the time being. Here are some ways that you can host your LifeGroup virtually that were compiled by Wooddale’s IT Director Josh Tryon.

There are a lot of options for meeting remotely with others using live video messaging/conferencing tools. Here are a few free options, Most have limits of 100 participants, and a time-limit of 40 minutes per meeting.

These tools can be used from laptops or cell phones and are all cross-platform, so you don’t all have to have the same brand of computer/phone.

Google Hangouts

If you have a google/gmail account already, hangouts.google.com is  easy,  your participants do need to have a google/gmail account to participate in the meeting.

Zoom

Zoom has a free option for up to 100 participants, limited to 40 minutes.
Requires host to have a Zoom account.

Skype
