Principles from “The Gift of Peace”

Here are the verses and principles Pastor Dale referenced in last weekend’s message, “The Gift of Peace” for your continued reflection:

  • We need to recognize that only we can be responsible for peace in our own lives. It doesn’t depend on others or our circumstances.
  • “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock” (Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT).
  • We experience peace in our lives to the degree that we trust God with our lives!
  • God is unchanging! He cannot lie (Hebrews 6:18). He is always faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). His promises are trustworthy (2 Corinthians 1:20). He works all things out for His purposes (Romans 8:28).
  • “Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock” (Isaiah 26:4 NLT).
  • God is unfailing! We experience peace in our lives when we realize how entirely redeemed we are.
  • “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us” (Romans 5:1 NLT).
  • “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT).
  • “For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility” (Ephesians 2:14).
  • “Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace” (Psalm 37:37 NLT).
  • “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (Isaiah 26:3 NLT).
